EAST Finals – Game 1 – CAVALIERS lead series, 1-0

This was over early.

It looked promising for Team Canada in the first quarter (started off 7-0), especially since DeMar DeRozan made his first five shots. Then the Cavs flicked some sort of switch. The Cavs scored 15 straight points from the end of the first quarter. The Cavs shot 67 percent in the first half while the Raptors went cold. And Cleveland didn’t even need to shoot a lot of threes (only seven makes)!

LeBron James made his first nine shots. Kyrie Irving got to the rim at will. And Toronto couldn’t make a three-pointer.

The Raptors can take solace to the fact that San Antonio smashed Oklahoma City in Game 1 of of their series. And right now, OKC is in the driver’s seat against Golden State. Maybe they hope a similar thing can happen to Toronto. But first, they have to stop Cleveland from making any buckets.

In the meantime, enjoy the corgis.

BEHIND THE LINES
