Stupid Power Rankings: Klay Thompson Has Another Record

People are obsessed with power rankings. So naturally, we have one of our own but it’s not about how good sports teams are. Every Monday, we look at 10 things in the NBA (or not) and rank them in order of how much we liked each thing. Don’t agree with them? Make your own rankings!

1) Klay Thompson Makes the Most Threes in an NBA Game

People were wondering when Klay Thompson was going to snap out of his three-point slump. Well, he did it in a big way when he made 14 threes in three quarters.

The Warriors were blowing out the Bulls in Chicago; they made 92 points in the first half! Klay probably would’ve gone for 18 or 19 if the game was remotely close.

Before the Bulls game, Klay was shooting .139 from three. That game alone brought him up to .317. Still below average but I trust Klay will find himself back in the league average and above in a couple of weeks.

2) Giannis Was Super Mean to the Kings

Giannis Antetokounmpo was instrumental on blowing out the surprising Kings and he did it in wicked fashion. Here are a couple more dunks that he did.

3) JaVale McGee as the Grinch

JaVale McGee was the Grinch for Halloween. And also for this interview after their game against Dallas. JaVale is a national treasure.

4) Victor Oladipo Sinks the Celtics

Victor Oladipo pulls up for three and gives the Pacers the lead (and the win). They beat the mighty Celtics as the story of Oladipo in Indiana continues on.

5) Devin Booker Snaps the Suns’ Losing Streak

The Suns were felled seven straight times before Devin Booker came to the rescue (TWICE) against the Grizzlies. Feels good to win a game, right?

6) No More Winless Teams

The Cavaliers finally won a game last Tuesday. So that means every team has won a game.

That’s no fun. If you’re going to be bad, be bad all the way!

7) Pelicans Are Losing a Lot

After starting out the season 4-0, the Pelicans have a 5-game losing streak. To be fair, Anthony Davis has only played in two of those games and is nursing a bad elbow. They should be okay once Davis rounds back into form.

But yeah, anytime there’s a losing skid like this, it’s concerning. Also, shoutout to the Pistons. They’re also in a losing streak that’s four games deep after they started out 4-0.

8) Jimmy Butler Waves Towel Along With Warriors Crowd

I admittedly kind of find this funny.

But within the context of the Wolves’ situation, this doesn’t look good for him. We all know Butler wants out of the team. And the team right now is the most dramatic out of all of the NBA thus far. I’m sure people can’t wait for a deal to get done.

9) This Bulls Fan Heckling James Harden

James Harden was scoreless at this period in the game when this fan yelled at him. Harden would proceed to score eight straight points and would outscore the Bulls, 21-12. The Rockets would go on to beat the Bulls.

Maybe don’t yell at legit superstars.

10) Jusuf Nurkic Keeps Getting Dunked On

For one, I admire Nurkic for trying to challenge these.

But getting posterized sucks. And it happened to him twice this week! (Above video with Brandon Ingram and then behind this link by Josh Okogie!)

(I am very aware that Derrick Rose scored 50 points this week. But honestly, I don’t think it should be celebrated after this entire thing.)
