This is the Hangover. This is where I get drunk on the NBA as I recap last night’s action as well as a few things going on around the league. Here’s your word vomit.

THE BOOGIEMAN IS COMING TO GET YOU
So DeMarcus Cousins, as you remember, had an issue with Sacramento Bee reporter Andy Furillo. The Bee then retailiated with a scathing column about Boogie’s behavior towards the paper.
Well, Boogie did apologize. But not to the Sac Bee. Instead, he apologized to the team and to the fans. I guess he’s not letting go of the grudge against the paper just yet. I can’t exactly say I blame him, either. After all, Furillo wrote a lot of columns that didn’t exactly paint Boogie as a good guy. Boogie may have a hot temper and he can be a jerk towards some people that he feels have wronged him. But we also know he spends a lot of time and money towards a number of charities.
Anyway, Cousins scored 55 points in a win against the Blazers. In a crucial play late in the game, Boogie got fouled after he scored on a lay-up. He was so pumped up in front of the Blazers bench that his mouthpiece came out of his mouth (some people will dispute that he spit it out on purpose). The refs gave him his second technical foul and Boogie ran back to the locker room in disbelief as he was ejected. THEN the refs decided it didn’t warrant a technical so Boogie was summoned back to the court and finished the game.
After the game, Cousins was interviewed by Kings sideline reporter Kayte Christensen. At the end of Boogie’s rant, the mic was cut off. Christensen mentioned that the mic had a connection issue at the end but the timing of that was definitely interesting.
Then in the locker room, Boogie welcomes in the media by saying HEY FRIENDS. He was very jovial towards the media and didn’t even acknowledge Meyers Leonard.
It was a very interesting week for DeMarcus Cousins.
THE REST OF THE LEAGUE
Isaiah Thomas went for 44 points, 36 after halftime, against the Grizzlies. And the Grizz had the Celtics on the ropes as they were up by 17. Heck of a rally by the leprechauns.
And heck of a rally by both the Hornets (down 19 against the Lakers) and the Knicks (down 15 against the Pacers. Kemba Walker nearly had a triple-double with 28-8-10.
Also, Wednesday night had three OT games, including a wild one in Florida. And you KNOW how wild Florida can be.
Finally, the Rockets had a valiant effort against the Spurs. But man, they should never leave Patty Mills alone. By the way, if people are complaining about how the Rockets aren’t for real because Mike D’Antoni teams can’t defend, they’re currently 14th in defensive rating. That’s higher than teams like Cleveland (16th) and Toronto (18th).
LINE CROSSER
Once again, put out that line of Boogie:
55 points, 13 rebounds, 3 blocks
Shockingly not the season high in scoring for any player (remember that Klay Thompson went off for 60). But Boogie has had a hell of a week.

Do you know who Malcolm Brogdon? Well, you do now. Look at him throw this reverse jam in front of LeBron James.
He also took it to Kyrie Irving. The Bucks lost the game but Brogdon certainly had a memorable night.
