This is the Hangover. We get basketball-wasted all the time. Yes, we recap the NBA every night in our own way.

EAST First Round – Game 6 – HAWKS WIN series, 4-2

For a while, it was like the Hawks and Celtics were shooting at rims covered with lids. The halftime score was 41-33 in favor of ATL and it looked like we were headed for one of those typical 90s NBA games again.

But a 14-3 start by the Hawks in the second half made sure THEY weren’t heading for that. Boston continued to have trouble putting it in the hole, which is also a problem if you’re playing golf, Powerball in American Gladiators, or in the bedroom. The lead ballooned to 26 points in the fourth quarter and the tea party was done in Boston.

The Hawks move on to the second round. It was another good season for Boston but I wonder if the Celtics are starting to think that a playoff appearance just isn’t good enough anymore. Of course, everyone wants to win the championship but as far as expectations go, was a playoff appearance satisfying for them?

BEHIND THE LINES
Paul Millsap (ATL): 17 pts, 8 rebs, 4 blks.
Isaiah Thomas (BOS): 25 pts, 10 assts.

This is not even close to a consolation but Jae Crowder throws it down in the best play of the game.
