Welcome to the Basketball Hangover. I write about what’s happening in the NBA daily. We are now in the Conference Finals!
The Bucks annihilated the Atlanta Hawks in Game 2.

Well, there really isn’t much to say here. It’s a bad day in the office for the Atlanta Hawks.
The first quarter was close enough; the Bucks had a 34-28 advantage. Then in the second, it got away from the Hawks. Real quick.
Milwaukee scored 20 unanswered points. They led by 32 at halftime and the Hawks never got back in the game again.
Sometimes, it just isn’t your day. Friend of the site, DragonflyJonez, had mentioned that it’s “better” to get blown out like this than do your best and still lose.
Along the same lines, this is STILL only one game. I had mentioned that it was “good news” against Brooklyn that despite the Bucks losing by 39, it was still one loss.
And sure, the Hawks lost by 34. But the series is tied at 1-1. You can say that the Hawks did what they had to accomplish and that’s steal home court advantage. They have that now.
I don’t got much else to say so here are a few pics of my late great dog, Nala.
We miss you, dog.
Bullet Passes
It’s already very questionable that the Dallas Mavericks hired Jason Kidd (who has a history of domestic violence) but now the Portland TrailBlazers has offered Chauncey Billups the head coaching gig.
On the basketball side, Billups won the NBA Championship with the Detroit Pistons and received the Finals MVP in 2004.
Outside of it? Well, he had a sexual assualt case that kind of went under the radar in the late 90s but is now receiving quite a huge light. This was after the Blazers went away from Kidd. Billups was never charged with the crime but it was settled out of court.
This looks bad for Portland. I don’t know any other way to say it.
Meanwhile, we still have capable women like Becky Hammon, Teresa Weatherspoon, Dawn Staley, and Kara Lawson very available for these head coaching gigs. I’m hoping one of them gets to make history this summer. But the hiring process that the Blazers did kind of left a sour taste.

It was just that night for the Milwaukee Bucks.
Everyone, please take care of yourselves during this pandemic. And that goes for everyone involved with the NBA as well.
