Not a good start to Blake’s season.

Injuries are part of the game. And Blake Griffin, who has had his share of ailments, has another that will keep him out for a bit.

And that says “re-evaluated.” He may not be back by the first week of November.
He’s easily Detroit’s best player. If they want to make a dent in the East playoff picture, (okay, admittedly, I made the East look like delicate flowers) they would have to hold the fort until Blake comes back.
The schedule isn’t kind, either. They have the Pacers twice, the defending champion Raptors, and the Sixers before the first week of November. If Blake doesn’t play by that point, the first week of November does include a lot of winnable games (Bulls, Wizards, Knicks) so they could salvage themselves should they lose a lot early.
Still, a slow start can doom a team. Every game matters (but, hey, don’t listen to me; the NBA doesn’t matter until Christmas to some people, apparently). Here’s to a speedy recovery for Blake Griffin.
