2016 West Finals Hangover (Game 3): Thunder Plaster Warriors to Take 2-1 Series Lead

This is the Hangover. We get basketball-wasted all the time. Yes, we recap the NBA every night in our own way.

WEST Finals – Game 3 – THUNDER lead series, 2-1

So how about this doozy?

There’s not much to explain here. The Thunder were running all over the place and converting in transition while the Warriors seemed to rush their shots faster than usual, which was a problem for them in Game 1. OKC overwhelmed them in all facets, including free throw attempts (the Thunder eventually ended with a 37-25 advantage), rebounds (+14), and field goal percentage (.500 to .413). OKC’s own small ball line-up even obliterated the Warriors’ “death line-up.”

The Thunder were up, 117-80, after three. OKC scored 45 points in the third! When Dion Waiters is dunking and raising the roof, you know things are going your way.

That was quite a beatdown by the Thunder. What else do you want me to say?

Well, do you like bulldog pictures?

Meanwhile, we await Draymond Green‘s fate as he kicked Steven Adams in the nuts. As I keep saying, getting kicked in that area is NOT pleasant.

BEHIND THE LINES
Kevin Durant (OKC): 33 pts, 8 rebs, 3 blks.
Russell Westbrook (OKC): 30 pts, 8 rebs, 12 assts.
Stephen Curry (GS): 24 pts, 5 rebs.

You know what’s not pleasant (not as painful physically but probably mentally)? Getting dunked on by Serge Ibaka.

Will the Warriors have Draymond Green in Game 4? They would definitely be dealt a low blow if he gets suspended. After all, Dahntay Jones of the Cavs got handed one game off for a hit on Bismack Biyombo.
