2016 Playoff Hangover (Day 19): Cavs Destroy Hawks With Three-Point Barrage

This is the Hangover. We get basketball-wasted all the time. Yes, we recap the NBA every night in our own way.

#4 ATLANTA HAWKS 98 @ #1 CLEVELAND CAVALIERS 123
EAST Semifinals – Game 2 – CAVALIERS lead series, 2-0

Yeah. So the Cavaliers made 18 three-pointers IN THE FIRST HALF. They led the Hawks by 36 after 24 minutes. Sometimes, that’s just the way it goes (yeah, the Hawks’ D was porous in the first half but the Cavs made some tough shots, too).

This is all I remember seeing in the game.

The Cavs made 25 three-pointers overall (they broke the playoff record of 21 threes by the third quarter and broke the overall record of 23 threes). There’s not much to say so here is a picture of corgis. I mean, who DOESN’T like corgis?

But don’t cancel the series just yet. Remember that the Chicago Bulls beat the Utah Jazz, 96-54, in Game 3 of the 1998 NBA Finals. The series still went six games.

SO NEVER GIVE UP, HAWKS.

I swear him raising three fingers on each hand was coincidence.

BEHIND THE LINES
J.R. Smith (CLE): 23 pts (7/13 3FG).
LeBron James (CLE): 27 pts, 5 assts, 3 stls.
Kevin Love (CLE): 11 pts, 13 rebs.
Paul Millsap (ATL): 16 pts, 11 rebs.
