Michael Kidd-Gilchrist had shoulder surgery after he injured it in the first preseason game. The timetable was for him to be okay in six months, which meant that he was going to miss most, if not all, of the 2015-16 regular season.
But guess what?!
INJURY UPDATE: @hornets Michael Kidd-Gilchrist has been cleared for game action & is expected to be in uniform tonight at POR. #CHAatPOR

Because MKG apparently has an adamantium powers, he’s back in less than four months. And he couldn’t have come back at a better time.
With Nicolas Batum on the team, they will have an even more potent perimeter defense. Charlotte recently went through a 1-8 stretch, which has knocked them out of the playoff picture at the moment. It’ll be a bit of a question how Kidd-Gilchrist fits into the more pace-and-space offense of the Hornets. But you can never have enough defense and that’s what MKG Security provides.
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist averaged 10.9 points and 7.6 rebounds in 55 games last season.
