This is the Hangover. We get basketball-wasted all the time. Yes, we recap the NBA every night in our own way.

Five games on Thursday. Let’s check ’em.

THE GAMES
LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS 102 (27-15) @ CLEVELAND CAVALIERS 115 (30-11)
The Cavs left the Clips in the dust in the second half. Cleveland built a double-digit lead in the second half and, for the first time in a long time, the Clippers missed Blake Griffin‘s presence on the court. Nice recovery so far by the Cavs after getting plastered by the Dubs.
BEHIND THE LINES
Kyrie Irving (CLE): 21 pts.
LeBron James (CLE): 22 pts, 5 rebs, 12 assts.
Kevin Love (CLE): 18 pts, 16 rebs.
J.R. Smith (CLE): 22 pts.
DeAndre Jordan (LAC): 10 pts, 13 rebs.
Chris Paul (LAC): 30 pts, 9 assts, 3 stls.
DETROIT PISTONS 99 @ NEW ORLEANS PELICANS 115 (15-27)
It was all Pelicans right from the start. Anthony Davis had his second consecutive 30-point game (32 points) and New Orleans shot over 53 percent to overcome the Motor City.
The real good news about this, though? Andre Drummond didn’t shoot a jillion free throws in this game. He only shot five and fans didn’t need to drink tons to convince themselves that basketball is great even with a bunch of foul shots.
BEHIND THE LINES
Anthony Davis (NO): 32 pts, 7 rebs.
Tyreke Evans (NO): 22 pts, 10 assts.
Brandon Jennings (DET): 20 pts, 5 assts.
Andre Drummond (DET): 19 pts, 22 rebs, 4 stls.
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (DET): 23 pts.
MEMPHIS GRIZZLIES 102 (25-19) @ DENVER NUGGETS 101 (16-27)
Memphis lost a double-digit lead in the first half as Denver had the bears reeling late. Will Barton got hot late and scored seven straight points for the Nuggets to give them a one-point lead. But Marc Gasol made a three-point play with 12 seconds left to give Memphis the lead back. Danilo Gallinari missed a three and the Grizzlies have quietly won four straight.
BEHIND THE LINES
Marc Gasol (MEM): 27 pts, 6 rebs, 3 blks.
Mike Conley (MEM): 20 pts.
Kenneth Faried (DEN): 17 pts, 12 rebs.
Danilo Gallinari (DEN): 17 pts.
ATLANTA HAWKS 88 (26-18) @ SACRAMENTO KINGS 91 (19-23)
Rajon Rondo broke an 88-tie late with a lay-up. But the Hawks turned it over when they had a chance to tie. Darren Collison provided the final margin after splitting the foul shots.
Suddenly, the Kings seem all powerful while sitting on their 8th Seed throne.
BEHIND THE LINES
Rajon Rondo (SAC): 11 pts, 10 rebs, 11 assts.
Omri Casspi (SAC): 13 pts, 5 rebs, 5 stls.
Willie Cauley-Stein (SAC): 12 pts, 11 rebs.
DeMarcus Cousins (SAC): 24 pts, 15 rebs, 5 assts, 3 stls.
Paul Millsap (ATL): 14 pts, 14 rebs, 4 blks, 5 stls.
SAN ANTONIO SPURS 117 (37-6) @ PHOENIX SUNS 89 (13-31)
The Suns are pretty much the walking dead and asking them to go against the basketball machine that is the Spurs is like asking Schmidt from New Girl to get serious. By the way, the Suns were celebrating 90s week and they probably wished it was the 90s right now.
Relive the glory days, Phoenix!

BEHIND THE LINES
Kawhi Leonard (SA): 21 pts.
Boban Marjanovic (SA): 17 pts, 13 rebs.
