This is the Hangover. We get basketball-wasted all the time. Yes, we recap the NBA every night in our own way.

Eight games happened in the league on Tuesday. I watched one of them LIVE as a fan. Hooray and stuff.

THE GAMES
PHOENIX SUNS 97 (13-27) @ INDIANA PACERS 116 (22-16)
Brandon Knight was a late scratch, apparently due to food poisoning. The Suns did their best to hang in there, even after getting down 12-0. But the lack of manpower was just too much for Phoenix; they didn’t score a field goal for nearly five minutes in the fourth quarter. Indiana took advantage and fudged up the score to make it look like it was an easy win.
BEHIND THE LINES
Paul George (IND): 21 pts, 7 rebs.
George Hill (IND): 20 pts, 5 assts.
Monta Ellis (IND): 14 pts, 7 assts, 4 stls.
Mirza Teletovic (PHX): 19 pts, 5 rebs.
Devin Booker (PHX): 19 pts.
SAN ANTONIO SPURS 109 (34-6) @ DETROIT PISTONS 99 (21-17)
It was vintage Tony Parker against the Pistons. He seemed to get inside at will, scoring 14 of his 31 points in the third quarter. And to make sure that the Pistons didn’t come back, he made a three-pointer and then an assist to 88-year-old Tim Duncan for the lay-up. The Spurs just continue to win. Plus LaMarcus Aldridge has been scoring a bit more the past few games so they have really gotten more dangerous.

BEHIND THE LINES
Tony Parker (SA): 31 pts.
Tim Duncan (SA): 14 pts, 9 rebs, 4 stls.
LaMarcus Aldridge (SA): 22 pts, 13 rebs.
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (DET): 25 pts, 3 stls.
Reggie Jackson (DET): 10 pts, 11 assts.
Andre Drummond (DET): 17 pts, 10 rebs.
BOSTON CELTICS 114 (19-19) @ NEW YORK KNICKS 120 (20-20)
The Knicks would lose Carmelo Anthony to an ankle injury but the rest of the Knicks picked up the slack, particularly Kristaps Porzingis. Then it was Jerian Grant who made the clutch plays. His basket made it a three-point lead for the Knicks and then he made four straight foul shots to keep the team’s cushion. A Derrick Williams dunk sealed the win for New York.
BEHIND THE LINES
Derrick Williams (NY): 15 pts, 10 rebs.
Kristaps Porzingis (NY): 26 pts, 6 rebs.
Arron Afflalo (NY): 24 pts.
Isaiah Thomas (BOS): 34 pts.
Jae Crowder (BOS): 21 pts, 8 rebs.
HOUSTON ROCKETS 107 (20-19) @ MEMPHIS GRIZZLIES 91 (21-19)
The Grizzlies were without Mike Conley and Matt Barnes and that caught up to them in the latter stages of this contest. It was 83-all before the Rockets went on a huge 16-2 run late in the fourth quarter. Suddenly, the Rockets are over .500 and have won four in a row. Kevin McHale has got to be happy about this.
BEHIND THE LINES
James Harden (HOU): 25 pts, 5 rebs, 5 assts.
Dwight Howard (HOU): 17 pts, 14 rebs.
Terrence Jones (HOU): 20 pts, 3 stls.
Marc Gasol (MEM): 20 pts, 5 rebs, 3 blks.
CHICAGO BULLS 101 (22-15) @ MILWAUKEE BUCKS 106 (16-24)
Derrick Rose would have knee problems in the second half and was only limited to 22 minutes. Still, that has to make the Bulls fans nervous.
As for the game, the Bulls led by eight with six minutes left before the deer took over. Khris Middleton made two big shots, the last one being a jumper with 16 seconds left to give the Bucs a four-point lead. The Bulls have now lost three in a row.
BEHIND THE LINES
Giannis Antetokounmpo (MIL): 29 pts, 10 rebs, 5 assts.
Greg Monroe (MIL): 17 pts, 12 rebs.
John Henson (MIL): 8 pts, 5 blks.
Jimmy Butler (CHI): 30 pts, 8 rebs, 6 assts.
Pau Gasol (CHI): 10 pts, 14 rebs, 5 assts, 4 blks.
OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER 101 (27-12) @ MINNESOTA TIMBERWOLVES 96 (12-27)
The Thunder led by 16 going into the fourth quarter. Then Zach LaVine (perhaps motivated by being called out by coach Sam Mitchell) scored 18 of his 21 points in the fourth. LaVine’s three cut the deficit to three with 41 seconds left. Unfortunately for the puppies, Kevin Durant made a jumper to stop the rally and stop Minnesota from getting the win.
BEHIND THE LINES
Kevin Durant (OKC): 30 pts, 7 rebs.
Russell Westbrook (OKC): 22 pts, 7 rebs, 11 assts, 3 stls.
Zach LaVine (MIN): 21 pts, 9 rebs.
Gorgui Dieng (MIN): 2 pts, 6 rebs, 6 blks.
Karl-Anthony Towns (MIN): 14 pts, 10 rebs.
Andrew Wiggins (MIN): 22 pts, 5 rebs.
CLEVELAND CAVALIERS 110 (27-9) @ DALLAS MAVERICKS 107 (22-17) (OT)
Deron Williams made a basket to give the Mavs a two-point lead with 28 seconds left. Eight seconds later, LeBron James just ran over Devin Harris with a hell of a two-handed dunk. They would go an extra five.
Dirk Nowitzki kept the Mavs ahead with a couple of three-pointers. But after LeBron‘s lay-up gave the Cavs the lead, Deron Williams missed a long jumper. With 13 seconds left, Kyrie Irving made a clutch three to give Cleveland a four-point lead. Cavs would win their eighth straight.
BEHIND THE LINES
Kyrie Irving (CLE): 22 pts, 9 assts.
LeBron James (CLE): 27 pts, 10 rebs, 7 assts.
Kevin Love (CLE): 15 pts, 11 rebs.
Dirk Nowitzki (DAL): 17 pts, 11 rebs.
Zaza Pachulia (DAL): 14 pts, 12 rebs.
Deron Williams (DAL): 16 pts, 10 assts.
Chandler Parsons (DAL): 25 pts, 8 rebs.
NEW ORLEANS PELICANS 91 (11-26) @ LOS ANGELES LAKERS 95 (9-31)
(PHOTO CREDIT: That really cool guy named Rey-Rey.)
Oh, hey. I was at Staples Center for this game. And Kobe Bryant sat out the second half. But the Lakers came back from a slow start. Julius Randle and Lou Williams made big lay-ups to give the Lakers a three-point lead. Then Tyreke Evans missed a three that would’ve tied the game. Randle made a foul shot to seal it and the Lakers fans (INCLUDING ME) went home with tacos.
BEHIND THE LINES
Lou Williams (LAL): 19 pts, 8 assts.
Alexis Ajinca (NO): 10 pts, 10 rebs.
Tyreke Evans (NO): 21 pts, 5 rebs.

Game over. Grizzlies struggled to get to 90, and the Rockets slowly pulled away and never looked back.

Eh. Played hard, lost to the Spurs. There are worse ways to go down, I suppose. San Antonio plays chess and the Pistons, uh, do not yet.

I implore you to make Kyrie Irving your favorite PG. that way you won't be upset when he hangs a cool 50 on your team's off brand PG.

Thank you Brooklyn. I'm extremely grateful to everyone involved for the opportunity. As Tom Coughlin says, no "goodbye" just "Next time"…

I wasn’t sure if Devin Harris tried to stop LeBron James but the King acted like he wasn’t there. This was quite the clutch jam.
