This is the Hangover. We get basketball-wasted all the time. Yes, we recap the NBA every night in our own way.

NBA Finals – Game 3 – WARRIORS lead series, 2-1

Well, this wasn’t much of a contest. We love blowouts in the NBA Playoffs. And the Cavs did it without Kevin Love, who was out with a concussion.

Right from the start, the Cavs jumped on the team from Northern California. They led by 17 after the first. But being the Warriors, they made a run at the end of the half with the help of Klay Thompson.

But the Cavs blew it open in the third. Kyrie Irving and LeBron James never stopped scoring. J.R. Smith never stopped making his three-pointers. Tristan Thompson never stopped doing the dirty work. And they continued to play excellent defense; their defense was hastened by Richard Jefferson, who has a decided advantage on speed compared to Love. Curry did make 13 points in the third but that was the only light in a dark, depressing second half for the Warriors. But it’s pretty outstanding that we’re saying this in the 2016 NBA FINALS: “They need to start Richard Jefferson if they want to win.” I hope Jefferson plays in the 2055 NBA Finals.

This is a series again at 2-1. But it’s still an uphill climb for the Cavs as they still have to tie the series at two in the next game. The question is… if Love is available, what do they do? Do they stay with this winning line-up? Or do they play the power forward off the bench?

The good news for the Warriors? Klay and Steph STILL have not had good games.

Only one day off before Game 4. But the Warriors are still in a pretty good position despite the look of doom and gloom on Game 3.
