This is the Hangover. We get basketball-wasted all the time. Yes, we recap the NBA every night in our own way.

#5 BOSTON CELTICS 72 @ #4 ATLANTA HAWKS 89
EAST First Round – Game 2 – HAWKS lead series, 2-0

The Hawks roared to a 24-3 start. That start also had Kyle Korver making four three-pointers so any worries about Korver’s Stormtrooper shooting is gone. For now. Boston only ended up scoring seven points in the first quarter. That’s probably not good.

The Celtics never got closer than 12 points in the second half. Avery Bradley being out has really, really hurt the team. His defense and outside shooting are completely missed. That and the Hawks’ smothering defense really left the Celtics crippled in Game 2.

BEHIND THE LINES
Al Horford (ATL): 17 pts, 5 rebs, 5 blks.
Kyle Korver (ATL): 17 pts, 7 rebs.
Isaiah Thomas (BOS): 16 pts.

#7 MEMPHIS GRIZZLIES 68 @ #2 SAN ANTONIO SPURS 94
EAST First Round – Game 2 – SPURS lead series, 2-0

There’s not much to analyze upon seeing the final score. It’s a team that’s 40-1 at home versus a team that has used 28 players this whole season and missing their two top players.

You don’t need to be a brain surgeon to figure this all out. But just in case you really wanna know something about the game, the Grizz shot under 33 percent. Also, they only scored 11 points in the first quarter. That’s slightly better than Boston’s seven but they ended up having fewer points than the Celtics overall tonight.

You can’t win an NBA game with 68 points. Unless you’re going against the Sixers or the Lakers. Then you might have a chance.

BEHIND THE LINES
Patty Mills (SA): 16 pts.
Zach Randolph (MEM): 11 pts, 12 rebs.
Tony Allen (MEM): 12 pts.

Man, the games were awesome on Tuesday night.
