Before getting to Sunday‘s all-star game, we have a replacement yet again on the Eastern side. Adrian Wojnarowski of the Vertical broke the news.

Al Horford of the Atlanta Hawks has replaced Chris Bosh of the Miami Heat on the squad. It was later revealed to be a calf strain so Bosh is going to take the weekend off to rest it. Bosh being selected to the game was actually quite the accomplishment as he had a blood clot in one of his lungs that took him out in the middle of last season.

This is the second player that has pulled out of the East in the all-star game due to injury. Pau Gasol replaced Jimmy Butler after Butler found out he was going to be out 3-4 weeks with a knee injury.

Horford now makes his fourth appearance in the all-star game. Bosh was selected to the game for the 11th straight time.
